The Master of Arts in Theological Studies (M.A. in Theological Studies) is a graduate seminary degree that offers a broad foundation in Christian theology. While programs focus on Systematic Theology, most seminaries with an M.A. in Theological Studies also incorporate an array of other Christian subjects into the coursework.
Most accredited M.A.s in Theological Studies require that students complete a bachelor degree prior to enrolling. After completing the theology degree, students may go onto further seminary studies, vocational ministry, lay ministry, secular endeavors or nonprofit work.
