Davis College’s History
Davis College was founded in 1900 by Rev. John Adelbert Davis. The school has at times been called the John A. Davis Memorial Bible School and Practical Bible College. In 2004, it underwent its most recent change and became Davis College.

During Davis’ College first decade, from 1900 to 1910, the area that is now its campus was the White City Amusement Park. This was a section of Johnson City that was so full of carousing a jail was built in the middle of the mark. In 1911, Davis College moved to this location, and today it is an area of peace and quiet.
