There are many Bible colleges with an Associate of Arts in Mission and Evangelism degree program. This is a normally 2-year degree program that prepares the Christian worker, pastor, or mission worker to function as an evangelist or as a missionary. This course of study typically covers basic Christian doctrines, especially a strong emphasis on soteriology or the doctrines surrounding personal salvation and how to come to faith in Christ. Much time may be spent on the study of missions and what approaches are effective in spreading the gospel as well as how to connect with various people groups.
An accredited A.A. in Mission and Evangelism degree may also prepare the student for continued education in the pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Missions and Evangelism having a duration of 4 years. An A.A. in Mission and Evangelism is designed to form the first 2 years of core mission and evangelistic course requirements for bachelors degree. This degree is often a jumping off point for beginning into ministry that is later finished during service.
